No, California's gov is now Jerry Brown, a democrat - elected last Nov. He was trying to get a ballot for voters to approve the extension of tax increases, but the GOP will not allow the citizens to vote on it. The GOP don't trust the voters when it comes to tax increases. The result will be the further destruction of our educational system that's already been decimated by past funding cuts. Our funding per student is one of the lowest in the US.
