Happy happy birthday baby
(hum it with me)

or should that be babies, Cav, Code and the almost newborn. Many happy returns!

So just for curiosities sake, what menu does our illustrious chef choose for the birthday bash? does one wear the special 'birthday' suit while dining?

<humming along> Ceili, we could certainly go 'al fresco' but what would the neighbours think?

As for the menu, I just got The French Laundry cookbook...anyone but me up to the task, or do we just go there?

Many Many happy returns of the day !!!

The best present I can give you is NOT to sing Happy bday to you..

But that does not stop me from tying it though Wink

Tum jeeo hazaaron saal,
Saal ke din hon pachaas hazaar..

(May you live to be for thousands of years,
And each year have fifty thousand days in it)

Happy Happy bday !!!

Thanks Gautam! One thing though...if I live for a thousand years, I may very well become a serial killer. Laughing

mac11...I live in an apartment with little greenery, but the landscaping around the building is nice. That and what I share with Craven's Monty Python/shrubbery addiction Smile I hear the new DVD of Monty Python and the Holy Grail is out now....

Happy Birthday Cavfancier
Happy Birthday Cavfancier.

In honor of the occasion, I gift you with a pint jar of my prized Cloud Berries preserves from Sweden that I've been hiding in my pantry for a special event.

Cloud Berries are are wonderful spooned over vanilla bean ice cream.

Thanks Slappy, didn't know you were so youthful.

Edgar...imagine living to 1000 years old, with so many annoying people around you. I would say that the first 100 years or so, your conscience would still be intact...serial killing is wrong and all, but once you reached 1000, wouldn't you just say, meh, I'm 1000 years old, what the heck, it's something new to try? Seeing as it is highly unlikely I will live that long, it is more than highly unlikely I will become a serial killer. Laughing Happy birthday to you too Edgar, fellow Virgo!

BBB, thanks! We get cloudberries from Newfoundlound and Labrador. Pricey, but delicious! Try those preserves on your special occasion with some seared foie gras. Wink

Ceili, I know not of what you speak, perhaps a link?

Spamalot: the musical
The musical's planned name Spamelot is a reference to a line in the film's song "The Song Of The Knights of Camelot," in which the knights sing: "We dine well here in Camelot, we eat ham and jam and spamelot."

Cav
As fast as thou shalt wane, so fast thou growest
In one of thine, from that which thou departest;
And that fresh blood which youngly thou bestowest
Thou mayst call thine when thou from youth convertest.
Herein lives wisdom, beauty and increase:
Without this, folly, age and cold decay:
If all were minded so, the times should cease
And threescore year would make the world away.
Let those whom Nature hath not made for store,
Harsh featureless and rude, barrenly perish:
Look, whom she best endow'd she gave the more;
Which bounteous gift thou shouldst in bounty cherish:
She carved thee for her seal, and meant thereby
Thou shouldst print more, not let that copy die.
