Did you see them on David Letterman last night? Next to the Beatles reunion, what could be more exciting? Why was there not more press? Sure they're old, but they still sound great.

The certainly sound a lot better than the rap garbage that gets so much air time these days. That rubbish is like sand paper over my nerve endings.

Modern poetry

"Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
All gone to look for America..."

Seldom equalled, never bettered.

I suspect if they had sung Old Friends, there wouldn't have been a dry eye in the place.

They're doing a concert here in Sacramento in November. I'm trying to figure out a way to be there if at all possible.

Paul Simon must be one of the most talented songwriters that ever lived. The way he just keeps churning them out is amazing.

I never got a copy of the central park concert on CD. Have to see if it's available.

I have a copy of their 1967 Live From New York CD recorded at Carnegie Hall. It's wonderful. I'm sure you can get that one from Amazon.com

Heard them on Letterman.
Beautiful. Their voices almost define a era of my life.

Second Avenue.
The Boxer.
The Sounds of Silence.

I love "Mrs Robinson", with or without the backup from "The Graduate". The song stands on its own; and more poetry, those lines about Joe DiMaggio.

When you're down and out...When you're on the street my lord...When evening falls....so hard...I will comfort you..

I'LL TAKE YOUR PAAAART! Oooh, when darkness comes..*hums the rest to himself*
