4 different projects, 3 of which are someone else's unfinished work that I really really wish they would have not bothered me with. The fourth is a workflow management tool -- not that interesting but using a new a framework that is..

Tomorrow -- I'll be creating an Access database to compare two reports as one has to be altered by hand and this will make it easier. I'm also going to bug the software people about why a security profile that was set up doesn't seem to be working properly. Plus one or two meetings, definitely one in the morning, about the software rollout.

lots of new concepts to absorb -- some that are contrary to regular CAD...

Today I spent time convincing users that the reports I am providing are just like their old ones, only the layout is a lil different.

I don't think I convinced anyone yet, but I'm sounding more persuasive, I think. Oh and I attended two meetings and heard about a buncha stuff I'm going to be doing that I have maybe 1/4 of a clue about.

Woo hoo! I'm hired! Got the job at the humane society that I never thought would be available and once it was I never thought I'd be wanted for.

So starting Monday I'll be working on getting my surgery up to speed. Cut, clamp, cut, sew, cut, clamp, cut, sew, and so forth.

Easy as pie, right?

I don't care much for the public, just their critters. And I'm massively underqualified, but I do have the upside of actually wanting to make a career of it...

I share your attitude, Dawg, but my critters are old cars...

Best of.

The ass has fallen out of the plantation business. I'm making preform (hot melted plastic) road markings (turn arrows, disabled symbols, lines etc in a shed.

Disabled symbols? Why on earth would you make disabled symbols? Why not make them right?

(Yes, I actually asked myself that before realizing what you musta meant. Admitting that here to everyone. Now asking myself how I ever got to the age of 45.)

Congrats, Patio! I couldn't possibly do that. I'd be so afraid of hurting them... And, then there's the pain I'd inflict on the person that caused me to have to sew and clamp the poor critters. You're a good dawg. Good dawg. Yes you are. If you were here I'd rub your belly.

Me? I'm putting together a "Love Boat" themed pool party for several hundred residents... Ordering supplies, calling vendors, planning menu. Then there's the Concert in September... gotta find a band. Already ordered Mr. & Mrs. Claus for December. That one has to be done in July. Oh, and changing out calendars, bulletin boards, thinking about adding an art class for some of the adults.

About 25 neighborhood kids have been learning about "The Masters" from a resident art teacher this summer and I'm going to do a "real live" Art Show for them with sparkling grape juice, cheese and crackers to showcase their work on the 22nd.

Okay... now that you've made me list it out I better get back to work.

A "Love Boat" pool party! What a great idea! Is Bear going to be Captain Stubing?

I'll have the Love Boat series playing on a 25' giant inflatable screen and have rafts in the pool for people to float, drink and watch if they want to... casino tables, shuffleboard, bar if they don't. I'm setting the whole pool area to look like they are entering a cruise ship. Gonna be fun!

Not sure who will be Captain Stubing. I'm obviously Julie, and I found the perfect blue blazer with white rope trim last weekend. Couldn't believe it when I saw it!
