Yep, I have a real old one buried in a cedar chest here. You can't sell the things, you know.

the tika is an ancient hindu good luck symbol - the arms face the opposite way. i didn't know until i worked in an inner city multicultural
(mainly hindu) school and they had them decorating the reception

Shocked until it was explained ! Very Happy

Hey, Eva and Vivien,

Well, I didn't know jack until yawl explained it to me. Laughing
It seems to me that my Mom had a Navajo rug at one time. When I was a kid and it was my turn to be the Indian, I wore it draped around my shoulders. Rolling Eyes No wonder they can't be sold.

Swastikas are also found in Korean architectual designs of centuries ago.

A friend of mine sent me a postcard years ago of a Korean temple with swastika designs all around.

I'll look for that postcard and post it here.
