Ha - Hey Jude came straight into my head as soon as I saw "Naaah naah na nanananaaaa, na nah nah nana" as the thread title - oh, hope you don't murder that song as badly as I do!

For the anthropologically minded amongst us, I offer this tidbit. Once in college, a professor noted that the above little ditty is known all over the world, across all cultures.

What a great list of singable songs! But, whoh, glitterbag, that was truly trippy.

I also like to sing "Mustang Sally" and I murder it as badly as every song I sing but that doesn't stop me.

That IS an interesting tidbit, Phoenix. Thanks.

It also could have been "Land of a thousand dances", you know the one that starts "You got to learn how to Pony.....dat dat....like Boney Moroney...dat dat...You got to learn how to twist..dat..dat..and let your backbone slip" with the refrain Nah na na nah na, na na na na na na na nana na , Nah na na naaaaaaaaaaa dat dat"

It's early rock and roll and it's been covered a number of times by different artists. Always got the kids out on the floor to boogie down.

This gal looks like she is having a great time, but she is doing some sort of free style version of the different dances......back in the day, many dance steps and dance styles were incorporated to match up with certain songs. So she isn't really performing the Pony, Mashed Potato, Watusi or any of the other dance steps mentioned.......but this is the best clip I could find so far. Some of the bands attempting this tune would make Wilson Pickett turn over in his grave, and made my ears bleed.

This guy get closer to the old dance steps, and he seems to be enjoying himself as well...sorry the clip is so fuzzy.
