Insallation failure for AVG Free Edition 8.0.1

To keep this short and sweet, I downloaded and installed AVG Free Edition 8.0.1 onto my laptop, and it's working fine. The problem came when I tried to install it onto my mom's desktop. The program goes through the motions up until actual installation where it starts to install then goes backward and stops. The error message reads that the installation was a failure and details of the error are as follows;

Local machine: Installation failed
Installation:
Error:Action failed for file avgemc.exe: creating file....
Error 0xe001042c

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
