i think that we should become the best of friends. everyone calls me an arab goth. would you like to know why? of course you would....i go outside *gasps* and because i go outside i have a tan (i know the horror of it all) and i listen to decent music, not justin timberlake and his whores....so therefore i am an arab goth. strange, i know.

LOL! Could happen...I don't know a lot of people who know The Cure beyond their later, happier work. I have a fascination for this tune (I was a huge Bauhaus fan):

CROWDS
Bauhaus

What do you want of me
What do you long from me
A slim pixie, thin and forlorn
A count, white and drawn
What do you make of me
What can you take from me
Pallid landscapes off my frown
Let me rip you up and down

For you I came to forsake
Lay wide despise and hate
I sing of you in my demented songs
For you and your stimulations
Take what you can of me
Rip what you can off me
And this I'll say to you
And hope that it gets through

You worthless bitch
You fickle ****
You will spit on me
You will make me spit
And when the judas howl arise
And like the jesus jews you epitomize
I'll still be here as strong as you
And I'll walk away in spite of you

And I'll walk away
Away
Walk away

Jack Off Jill - American Made

give me some antiseptic
to wash this headache away
give me a syringe
to inject the pain
give me something pretty
i hope i'll never be
i'd rather be creepy
and very strange
give me a cake
that i can mix and bake
in a betty crocker oven
that i will break
bake in oven we will
STAB STAB STAB
c'mon don't be afraid
we will make you
STAB STAB STAB
my world is evil
but american made
give me something easy
that i can complicate
something healthy
that i can infect
give me a made
in a crippled state
with halloween teeth
that i can break
Bake in oven we will
STAB STAB STAB
c'mon, don't be afraid
we will make you
STAB STAB STAB
my world is evil,
but american made

i think i'll just post whatever song i'm listening to at the time, because they all sound angsty.

Hmm, I'm going to have to check out that band of yours there.

I'M BROKEN
Pantera

I wonder if we'll smile in our coffins while loved ones
Mourn the day, the absence of our faces, living, laughing,
Eyes awake. Is this too much for them to take?

Too young for one's conclusion, the lifestyle won.
Such values you taught your son. That's how.

Look at me now. I'm broken.
Inherit my life.
One day we all will die, a cliched fact of life. Force fed
To make us heed. Inbred to sponge our bleed. Every
Warning, a leaking rubber, a poison apple for mingled
Blood. Too young for ones delusion the lifestyle cost
Venereal Mother embrace the loss. That's how.

Look at you now. You're broken
Inherit your life.

Good god don't tell me you haven't heard of Jack off Jill...hang your head in shame.
If you do, download strawberry gashes first. it's probably the best one. Download this one as well, it's really good.

Jack off jill - fear of dying

i'm not afraid of standing still
i'm just afraid of being bored
i'm not afraid of speaking my mind
i'm just afraid of being ignored
i'm not afraid of feeling
and i'm not afraid of trying
i'm just afraid of losing
and i am afraid of dying
without you, yes i do and i hope that you do to
without you, yes i do
without you, yes i do and i hope that you do to,
without you, yes i.....
i'm not afraid of being sick
i'm more afraid of being well
i'm not afraid to put the gun in my hand
i'm just afraid it'll hurt like, hurt like hell
i'm not afraid of screaming
and i'm not afraid of crying
i'm just afraid of forgetting
and i am afraid of dying
without you, yes i do and i hope that you do too
without you, yes i do
without you, yes i do and i hope that you do too
without you, yes i...
i'm not afraid of looking ugly
i couldn't care what they say
i'm not afraid of happy endings
i'm just afraid my life won't work that way
i'm not afraid of forgiveness
i'll absolve you, anything
i'm not afraid of lying
but i am afraid of dying
without you, yes i do and i hope that you do too
without you, yes i do
without you, all i do is sit and think about you,
without you, yes i ....

I shall check it out. The name is familiar, but I don't have any of their tunes.

Not angsty, but a fine suicide song:

AFTER HOURS
The Velvet Underground

1-2-3
If you close the door, the night could last forever
Keep the sunshine out and say hello to never
All the people are dancing and they're havin such fun
I wish it could happen to me
But if you close the door, I'd never have to see the day again.

If you close the door, the night could last forever,
Leave the wineglass out and drink a toast to never
Oh, someday I know someone will look into my eyes
And say hello -- you're my very special one--
But if you close the door, I'd never have to see the day again.

Dark cloudy bars
Shiny Cadillac cars
And the people on subways and trains
Looking gray in the rain as they stand disarrayed
All the people look well in the dark
And if you close the door, the night could last forever.
Leave the sunshine out and say hello to never
All the people are dancing and they're having such fun
I wish it could happen to me
'Cause if you close the door, I'd never have to see the day again.
I'd never have to see the day again.
(once more)
I'd never have to see the day again.

i'm a huge fan of the velvet underground. i first heard them on 'the doors' soundtrack. brilliant stuff.
I have a suicide song. The suicide song, actually. You've probably heard of it.

Gloomy Sunday - Heather Nova version

Sunday is gloomy
My hours are slumberless
Dearest the shadows
I live with are numberless

Little white flowers
Will never awaken you
Not where the black coach
of sorrow has taken you

Angels have no thought
of ever, returning you
would they be angry
if i thought of joining you

gloomy sunday

Gloomy is sunday,
In shadows i spend it all
My heart and i
Have decided to end it all

Soon there'll be candles
And prayers that are Sad, i know
But let them not weep
Let them know that i'm glad to go

Death is no dream
For in death
I'm caressing you
With the last breath of my soul
I'll be blessing you

Gloomy Sunday

Dreaming, i was only dreaming
I wake and i find you asleep
in the deep of my heart
here

Darling i hope
That my dream never haunted you
My heart was telling you
How much, i wanted you

Gloomy Sunday

Oh yeah, I know that one indeed, but from the Billie Holiday version, which is still way creepy to this day. I also like the version done by Diamanda Galas, with just her and her piano. Here are her lyrics:

Sadly one Sunday
I waited and waited
With flowers in my arms
All the dream has created
I waited 'til dreams,
Like my heart, were all broken
The flowers were all dead
And the words were unspoken
The grief that I know
Was beyond all consoling
The beat of my heart
Was a bell that was tolling

Saddest of Sundays

Then came a Sunday
When you came to find me
They bore me to church
And I left you behind me
My eyes could not see
What I wanted to love me
The earth and the flowers
Are forever above me
The bell tolled for me
And the wind whispered, "Never!"
But you I have loved
And I'll bless you forever

Last of all Sundays

Placebo - Every you Every me

Sucker love is heaven sent
you pucker up our passion spent
my heart's it's art
your bodys rent
my bodys broken yours is bent
carve your name into my arm
instead of stressed i lie hear charmed
cuz theres nothing else to do
every me and every you

sucker love a box i choose
no other box i choose to use
Another love i would abuse
no circumstances could excuse
in the shape of things to come
too much poison come undone
cuz there's nothing else to do
every me and every you

sucker love is known to swing
prone to cling and waste these things
pucker up for heaven sake
theres never been so much at stake

i serve my head up on a plate
its only comfort
calling late
cuz theres nothing else to do
every me and every you
every me and every you
every me

like the naked leads the blind
i know im selfish, i'm unkind
sucker love i always find
someone to bruise, and leave behind

all alone in space and time
theres nothing here but what here's line
something borrowed
something blue
every me and every you

a bit preppy, but i like a few lines in it.

I have to admit a hankering for Placebo's 'Pure Morning' for the drone effect, and the cover of T-Rex's '20th Century Boy'.

This was a big hit, but I still like it, especially the B.B. King sample:

Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand
Primitive Radio Gods

Jan lays down and wrestles in her sleep
Moonlight spills on comic books
And superstars in magazines
An old friend calls and tells us where to meet
Her plane takes off from Baltimore
And touches down on Bourbon Street

We sit outside and argue all night long
About a god we've never seen
But never fails to side with me
Sunday comes and all the papers say
Ma Teresa's joined the mob
And happy with her full time job

Do do do do doo do

Am I alive or thoughts that drift away?
Does summer come for everyone?
Can humans do as prophets say?
And if I die before I learn to speak
Can money pay for all the days I lived awake
But half asleep?

Do do do do doo do x 2

A life is time, they teach us growing up
The seconds ticking killed us all
A million years before the fall
You ride the waves and don't ask where they go
You swim like lions through the crest
And bathe yourself on zebra flesh

(I've been downhearted baby,
I've been downhearted baby,
Ever since the day we met) -B.B. King sample
