Can anybody enlighten me as to the significance of the metallic objects decorating today's Google title page?

They look like a bunch of different coloured highly enamelled metal tulips or measuring scoops.

Thanks Region, I got that information; it was the objects themselves I was trying to identify. On special days the word Google is usually altered or adorned in some way to honour the occasion. I just wondered whether the tulips/scoops/whatever had a specific meaning that I was missing out on.

there doesn't seem to be any significance to it -- which is kinda different for them...

I don't know if you see the same objects as I do.
