Who performed this song? I think 'Last days in time" was the name of the album, but I am not sure. Maybe 30 years ago?
Does anyone know?
That song was performed by many artists. Pete Seger wrote it, and, I believe Peter Paul and Mary probably sold the most copies.
Earth, Wind and Fire as well. One of their earlier albums before they really took off. Let me check...

Here it is.
I think Edgar is right about Peter, Paul, and Mary, but Johnny Rivers and the Kingston Trio also had popular versions.
CowDoc sighting!!
sorry for the sidebar, folks but... CD -- say hey to T for me. Hope you are both well.
I have heard it sung by at least a dozen artists. Joan Baez does it both in English and German.
It was first performed by Marlene Dietrich in French (as "Qui peut dire ou vont les fleurs?") in 1962 at a UNICEF concert. She also recorded the song in English and in German, the latter was entitled "Sag' mir, wo die Blumen sind", with lyrics translated by Max Colpet.
The Kingston Trio recorded the song in 1962 and claimed authorship, but they took their name off when Seeger asked them to; their single reached #21 on the charts.

I heard the Kingston Trio sing it - 62? UCLA, and Peter, Paul and Mary sing it at the Golden Rolling Belly in Del Mar, '71? I've heard Baez but don't remember her singing that at that particular concert in San Diego.. Still have a Seeger album.
Cool ref to Dietrich. V. good.
