Has anyone read this series? Its by Terry Goodkind its thought be alot of things i use in life. The First book in the series is called The Wizards First Rule
yes and i really enjoyed them - different. have you read all 3 or just the first?

the amber spyglass is by phillip pullman and is part of a (?) trilogy (?) called "his dark materials" I read them a while ago, and especially enjoyed the first book.

yes definitely.
The Amber Spyglass and its 2 sequels is very unusual - there is a thread on it somewhere on A2K.
I love Terry Pratchett with his plays on words and reworking and melding of a wide range of stories/legends/sayings - all with a twist and humour and good characters
