Special one here tonight, though. Tonight is the last night at home for daughter K before she leaves for five weeks. Family dinner planned. Younger daughter is staying in on a Friday night (this is big).
Snow day!
Had plans that have been shot to pieces. Ah well.
It's a wimpy snow day too, not that much on the ground. Seems to mostly be about freezing rain falling today.
snow day here too soz, I think we live near each other! The storm of the century was a big flop but all the schools closed. I went to Belvedere square and brought home blue cheese stuffed artichoke hearts and thai rubbed smoked salmon! Got a fire in the wood stove sigh

I'm at a beach town, and it's bloody raining. And there's no let up in sight. Forecast for rain at least until Sunday.
Thunderstorms around and the surf has quietened a bit.
Yesterday it hailed so much it just looked like snow outside, and little drifts of hailstones in the gutters and on the terrace. Quite attractive in a weird sort of way, and unusual light.
This is summer, dammit! Wotz happened to our long hot summers? They've gone to Melbourne, that's what!
