Saw him once live at Hugh's Room. It was a great evening.

Then there's the whole "six degrees of separation" thing going on, leading you to Fred Eaglesmith, and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and then the separate careers of Colin Linden, Tom Wilson and Stephen Fearing. So much great music.

So...I'm thinking I'll just take a stroll down memory lane via You Tube and hope some of you enjoy it.

Stephen Fearing -- Don't Wanna Know About Evil

Saw Stephen Fearing at a House Concert arranged by our local folk society -- just him, with an acoustic guitar, coffee and cookies at the break, a really laid-back venue. He seemed like a sweet guy.

Drove through a ferocious snowstorm to see Tom Wilson at the Orillia Opera House. Probably one of the most memorable concerts I've attended. Now you don't live in Hamilton for 10+ years without hearing of Tom Wilson and Junkhouse. (This isn't a bad video actually -- they spare you the steel mills.) At the time thiswas more my speed Embarrassed

So I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Well, Tom Wilson is hilarious

As an added bonus, his then-girlfriend (could still be his girlfriend -- I don't get the bulletins) Cathy Jones was in the audience.

So it was quite an evening. Oh -- and the music was great.
