it's a male singer except for the chorus where people (sounds like the singers for the chorus of tarzan boy" sing something like,
"ooh way bum bum bum ooh wayyyyyyyyyyyy ya"
its an older song, uplifting
Two ideas: One is "Hey Ya" by Outkast and the other is "Tarzan Boy (it was on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie soundtrack)" by Baltimora.
If it's not either of those, you'll have to give us more info to work on. LOTS more info.
You can type in " partial lyric search" into google and it brings up MANY diffrent websites that allow you to type in pieces of a lyric and will return all of the songs that match that piece for you.

thanks guys! i finally remembered enough to figure it out. Part of the reason I was screwing up is that I thought i already had the song and whenever i typed in part of the title to look it wasn't there. It you were wondering the song is "life in a northern town" by dream academy
