Greenest state in the land of the free
Raised in the woods so he knowed ever tree
Kilt him a bar when he was only three
Davy Davy Crocket
King of the wild frontier
Off through the woods he's marchin along
Makin up yarns and singingin his songs
He's rangy as a bear and twicet as strong
Itchin for a fightin and rightin a wrong
Davy Davy Crocket

Time we "fess up" to the ecological catastrophy we almost wreaked upon the indigenous population of racoons that gave their pelts (unwillingly) in order for kids to have coonskin caps. I still have mine and when I was a 6 year old, Id wear my cap everywhere. Then the cat tried to hump it and then he pissed all over it. We threw it away after that and my mom wouldnt spring for another.... Bitch.
So I retrieved mine and kept it under my bed. The smell greadually went away and when we got married my first wife had it laundered... Bitch
When I was a kid, my parents went across the border to Buffalo for the weekend. God knows why! My brothers and I were left in the care of my grandparents. Anyhow, when they returned they brought us a Davey Crocket coonskin cap, bandana and flint lock pistol. They were my pride and joy for many years. I don't have a clue as to what happened to them.
