XERA in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, just across the border from Del Rio, Texas, was a 250,000 watt clear channel radio station, five times the legal power of America radio stations., broadcasting American country music. When I was a kid, I'd radio DX at night and could get XERA and its night time "Coffee Drinkin' Nighthawk " DJ in New Jersey.
