could be like the lake in the town where I went to university - I went "sailing" with a beau once - he sank the sailboat - sitting in the sailboat ... the water came up to our ankles when the boat was on the bottom of the lake

we have a lake like that.

I used to live near it.

it was faster to walk across it than to get in the car and rive around.

but right now we still have extra water.

you might have to swim part way...

look out for sink holes!




story behind the sinkhole

got a 2 pm appointment with my electrician at the house.

I think Ima grab a bowl of gumbo and head that way. over to mr vw's now.

getting a glimpse of what my future might be like.

kinda liking the freedom of it all...

came home and mowed until it got too dark to see.

my elbows are bothering me. been using a big scoop shovel and a leaf rake to clean out the garbage. I'm about half way done...

and I've found some interesting items among the debris, not that I am sorting it or searching. just an occasional piece will catch my eye.

found the tax statement for the house from 2008 (the last year that was paid)

and somebody's stash in a tums bottle. (I pitched it, it was verra low quality)

and most interesting of all, a drivers license that was issued less than 30 days ago.

hmmmm.

a kinda skeery looking little gal that it says lives about a half mile away.

I'm thinking of returning it...

Beware of skeery looking people! She might have been playing some weird mind games and be a female version of the lawnmower man!

maybe a lawyer you know could have it delivered to some random police type person

that wouldn't be any fun.

here's the rub.

a license that was issued 30 days ago has to be mailed to the recipient. average delay 2 to 3 weeks.

she was in my house in the last 2 weeks.

assuming she lost it as soon as she got it...

I think I have to go offer to give it back to her, just to see what she says when I tell her where it was. (um um um...)

and I doubt she has another one yet, it takes too long to get here...

(I have no desire to have badges and guns involved)
