oddly enough, I don't remember ever landing at LAX. (I usually went in to Burbank, it was a lot closer to where I wanted to be.)
but, my second most memorable flight left from there...
it was the last show of the first season, and my girlfriend was out there, running around with her kid. (Pomona)
I flew back with them. as we took off into the twilight, Luke (5) says, "man, that's the biggest lake I ever saw..." I had not been home for over a month, so he and I had fun on the plane, and she got plowed. pretty soon, she was fun, too.
anyways, when we got to O'Hare, we were diverted over the lake, and it was spectacular. all frozen and glistenny, we could make out Navy Pier...
she slept soundly in the car as we drove back to Indiana.
