stinky just jumped up on my lap, and for lack of anyone else to speak to, I started a conversation. (he rarely participates)

I asked him what he thought was wrong with his sister. (she puked this morning. on the rug)

he turned, paused, and gave me a 2 second look that spoke volumes, and plopped down facing away from me.
