Willie's bus is legendary.

Patrol spokesman Bill Brooks says the bus pulled into the Sierra Blanca, Texas, checkpoint about 9 a.m. Friday. Brooks says an officer smelled pot when a door was opened and a search turned up marijuana.

Brooks says the Hudspeth County sheriff was contacted and Nelson was among three people arrested.

Sheriff Arvin West didn't immediately return a phone message left at his home Friday, but he told the El Paso Times that Nelson claimed the marijuana was his. The singer was held briefly a $2,500 bond before being released.

my typing fingers are twitchy and sore.

got my excavating project completed. facilities will be updated to 20th century standards within the week...

baking a tater while I warm a shower up.

split enough wood for the week, and did all my laundry. (thnx smoky)

tomorrow I tackle organizing the shop. Shocked


we kinda blew past 15,000 posts this afternoon while I was digging around underneath the cabin.

damn.

hurricane warnings soon.

40 mph gusts...tarp demanded attention...

cinder blocks carted up, ropes attached, braces made...

tentatively much better. (thought I was about to lose a window)

I am on constant tarp patrol. (you can hear it when things get loose. flaps like hell)

thank dog we aren't getting any precip with it.

gonna reconfigure it all after the storm lets up...

just sat down to salmon patties and fried taters...

the cabin is starting to feel like home.

hung more curtains.

got my philodendron draped around my kitchen windows, and bubba is sharpening her claws on the woodpile.

just finished a walk around the fields. the stars look so close tonight...

damn.

whoever is doing the forecasting on my computer weather service needs new equipment. or a new job.

we are at now 36 degrees, and dropping...winds have reversed and now will blow hard from the North all day.

time to go bring in some more wood.

it's damn cold and blustery out tonight.

glad I did, the bathroom window is broken, and flapping in the frosty breeze.
