Over on the BBC website, after clicking the Entertainment link, is the news that the group Men At Work has lost a plagiarism case regarding their 1983 song Down Under. A judge ruled that the flute riff was taken from a 70 year old Australian children's song called Kookaburra Sits In The Old Gum Tree.
The BBC has 30-second snippets from each song.
Can I put in a request to hear both versions here? Tough call, methinks.
