I think popular polls sometimes get it wrong. eg a song that charts and is big early in 2007 gets forgotten about. Better to ask people 20 years later which songs they remember.
Some of the stuff I posted earlier that I like ie John Butler trio, Ben lee, Martin pyke and others charted down the list.
