LeRoi Moore, saxaphonist and one of the founding members of the Dave Mathews Band is listed as being in serious condition at UVA Medical Center this afternoon. Moore, 46, was injured Monday in an ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville.
Sax player Jeff Coffin of Bella Fleck and the Fleckstones will substitute for Moore as the DMB continues its show schedule.
I have never been a big fan of the DMB, which was started in Charlottesville. They have quietly been very generous in offering financial support to a variety of local causes.
Sorry to hear that, RJB.
Here they sing an epicurean song.

That video, Rockhead, certainly looks like it was shot in Virginia. Most all of the DMB live in this area, although Mathews himself married a lady from the NW (Portland?) and spends much of his home time now in that area. The only one I run into occasionally is Boyd Tinsley. He is somewhat active in Democratic Party politics.

Hard to believe that some folks believe that I'm a

I am sorry to hear about LeRoi Moore. I like DMB.
