That means that he will be able to hear your ramblings. Well, there's a downside to everything! Sad

Seriously though, I am glad that there is a relatively simple fix for the cub's problem. Tell him that there is an old broad on A2K who wants to give him a virtual hug! Very Happy

Good luck and best wishes to the cub on the surgery.

I agree that it sucks that it has to be during Christmas though.
Will it be an outpatient surgery, or will the cub be stuck in the hospital for any length of time?

Either way, my prayers go out to the cub.

Bear, is this the cub who's dj-ing with you? You'll want to get him ear protection after the surgery (mostly I'm teasing, but also semi-serious!)
Hope everything goes well.

I will have him at the hospital at 6:25 am (after arriving home from work at 2:45 am Sad ) Surgery at 8:25. He'll be home by lunch.
And yes I am having musicians ear plugs custom cast and made to his ears.

I don't want him to end up permanently 3/4 deaf like his old man. Laughing

Thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts.

Losing one's hearing is a pretty scarry thing. It's extremely fortunate that it's a fixable thing.

Keeping fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

so squinney took him so I could get some sleep. the procedure was about 10 minutes. He called me a few minutes ago. Says everything is real loud. His speaking voice is back to a normal level and he's enunciating clearly. A great Christmas and birthday present for my boy.
