Congrats. The closest I ever came to a thing like that, my daughter won a trip for four, and my wife and I were allowed to come along.

So Cool!

When do you go?

Did you tell the girls?

Would you please tell Billy Ray that my daughter no longer wants to marry him but still has his "Achey Breaky Heart" cd?

I haven't heard back from the promotions department of the radio station - they said on Monday that they would call me - they have all three of my phone numbers. I am getting nervous that they forgot me so I might have to call to see.

The concert is either next Friday or Saturday. When I was on the phone acting like a little kid myself, I yelled to my daughter what we had won and that she gets to meet Hannah Montana. So the DJ asked me to have her yell so all the listeners could hear. She told the other girls at school and they couldn't believe it.

I'll forward the message to Billy Ray if I get to see him.

OK so I finally hear from the radio station - the concert is tomorrow night. I have to take a half day, because the concert is over an hour drive and you never know with the weather, parking, traffic.

We also have to arrive early for our meet and greet session - it happens before the show. And we do get four tickets so my younger girl can go as well.

I can't wait to see my girls' faces when they get to meet her. It is the best Christmas gift.

You may not hear from me again until after Christmas though - I'll let you know how it goes and if I get a chance to give Billy Ray his message.

Perhaps when you're backstage you can send your troubles off touring with the band? Just shoo them toward the drummer.

I don't think I could do that. These are all young teens in the bands. Unless maybe w/Hannah she has an older drummer.

How about picking a roadie with broad shoulders and little imagination and appointing him chaperone for your troubles while on tour?

That may be able to be arranged.

I got a fortune cookie the other night that said something along the lines that next year my life would turn around for the better.

Holy crap! That is awesome! I JUST found out who Hannah was and now I am well aware of the Hannah Montana madness that is sweeping our nation.

Those tickets are like GOLD. You could probably sell them to some desperate mom for a couple hundred bucks, easy.

Couple hundred? COUPLE hundred? Try a couple thousand...

I think the face price is itself beyond a couple hundred, especially for FOUR -- that's probably already up into $400-$800 right there.

Ticket prices are insane for this stuff.

I asked my daughter if I was super cool now. I didn't make super cool, but medium. I guess that is pretty good considering I am an adult.

We were talking about it one night when I was tucking her into bed - she said you mean I get to go back stage? I said I guess that is where you will meet her. Her again - BACK STAGE! I get to go BACK STAGE! She gives me a big hug and says you are the best mom ever.

The concert went very well. When we got there we received these gold sparkerly wrist bands for "backstage". We were to gather and then be escorted to meet Miley. I guess the Jonas Brothers were not included or we messed up meeting them - in any case my girls really didn't care about meeting the Jonas Brothers. We were led in with about 30 other people. We lined up and there was a table where Miley would be sitting. We were allowed one autograph each and one picture each. It was so cute watching how excited all the kids were. Then Miley came out and everyone got so excited. We got our turn and my daughters each got their autographs (my husband and I did too) and they also got a picture with her. My older daughter's came out really nice (considering at the last minute we had to run out and get a disposable camera because our digital died on us). As we walked out there were all these people out there. One woman asked my 5 year old did you touch her? And stuff like that. Then one woman asked how we got "backstage". I told her how we won. She offered to buy our wristbands. I thought, but we want to keep them to remember, then I realized duh, we have 4 so I offered to sell her two. We managed to wiggle out of two that were not on as tight (they are the kind that can't be taken off without breaking). She gladly handed us $50 we offered to sell them for (could have probably gotten $100).

We had 5 row seats - right next to the extended stage. It was loud with all the girls screaming, but the alcohol helped. Yep they had alcohol - I never saw so many moms drinking wine around their kids before, but it dulled the eardrum pain. The Jonas Brothers were not too bad. Lots of high energy. My 5 year old loved it when Joe jumped on the piano. Both girls now "like" Joe. When Hannah came on - I encouraged my daughter to go on ahead close to the stage. She managed to weasel her way up to front row center and there she sang and danced all night, hands reaching up to get a touch with Hannah/Miley. My 5 year old stood on her seat the entire time (with my hands on her so she wouldn't fall). Her comment - this is the best day ever!
