I need some serious help. Just a question or ten... way out there. Does anyone know if it is difficult for a SMALL bank (one office) to embezzle from their customers? A fact... No One gets their checks back anymore. Do you really know who is depositing your company checks? Think about it... You never see the backs of your checks. Who would ever know? Is it plausible for a bank of deposit to NOT put their name on the back of the check? In 5 years worth of deposits I have no proof that ANY bank touched that document. Yes I know it is first deposit. And if anyone walks into that bank and cashes the company check, shouldn't there be documented with something? Like the tellers stamp or date or anything? I have/had an employee who supposedly walked into the bank and cashed a paycheck. Well, this employee told me he always deposits into his own banks account and has never set foot in that bank, and yet, it cleared. Any ideas or suggestions? BTW... company closed... bad embezzlenent.
