.. it is 56 degrees INSIDE my house tonight.

In 10 words or less, what is your complaint of the day?

Is that like hot or cold?

100C boiling point
40C = hot hot day
0C= freezing point

Complaint of the day: How come The US wont go metric.

I have a recently-filled tooth that keeps hurting. A LOT. Could be several things, but I've been eating Advil night and day for two weeks now. I finally get to see the dentist tomorrow, and I am ready.

It was 86 F here today and we couldn't open any window due to the
smoke and ashes from the fires.

That's one of the possibilities. Won't know 'til tomorrow.

How close are you to the fires, CJ? Shocked

I'm a lark and Mr. Noddy is an owl.

Usually he puts the dog out before he comes to bed.

Iffy woke me at 4:45 this morning.

I'm not that much of a lark.

She's gone back to sleep. She's a friend to all birds.

Good news: no abscess.
Bad news: tooth died, root canal performed today...temp filling will be replaced by crown in a week and a half...numbness has worn off now, jaw is very sore...soup for dinner tonight.

I can understand missing dads and barking dogs.

Thank goodness I don't have a toothache or a fire to deal with.

The house now stands at 57 degrees but it doesn't feel as bad as it did last night.

We've been having the new furnace installed which means that the doors stood open for a couple of days. Then I went to the pumpkin patch with Mo's class and just caught a chill, I guess. I was miserable last night.

I was hoping for heat today. The electriction did his bit today but the gas company didn't make it out for inspection. If the temperature doesn't drop any I can make it through the weekend with all my toes intact.

Oh! I forgot! I have a new complaint!

The phone company didn't make it out today either!

A truck going down the street jiggled loose the phone lines last Wednesday so we don't have phone service. Now it looks like they won't be out until next Tuesday.

I'm hereby nicknaming my lovely new house Gilligan's Island.

I'd chat more but I have to go build some semblance of the 21st century from a coconut and an evening gown.

Eva--

Oh, dear.

Boomer--

A positive attitude might prevent frostbite--or it might not.

Mr. Noddy "forgot" the dog again last night. Evidently she wasn't happy about the rain and he didn't want to "force" her.

Poor Iffy, I can imagine the look on her face.
Days of rain and a reluctance to go out.

Boomer, heat yet? Phone?
It's 70 degrees here today.

Eva, hope your tooth is better...

My throat is sore. I feel as though I've been fighting a cold for days. It's still raining. The costume party is tonight and I'm going! I'm not sick! I'm not!
