Her new book "Book of the Dead" is available next week- 10/23. I've been an avid fan of hers for some time now- they are real page turners! I'm really excited that this one will follow my favorite character, Kay Scarpetta. Any other fans out there??
I used to be. The last one just woudn't work. Forget the title, of course.
You mean Predator? Wasn't my favorite but I did enjoy it...
And I from early buzz I hear "Book of the Dead" is gonna be good! Kay opens her own forensics practice in Charleston with Pete and Lucy and then there is a string of bizarre murders - one of which involves a young American tennis player in Rome- that she must piece together. I've been needing a good read- and even though I've read a ton of her books, she always surprises me.
WooHoo, I hadn't heard of another book coming out with the same chatacters! I'll be watching the book stores. Thanks
My pleasure! I found this link to the book's official website- has a pretty cool excerpt:

just an fyi - I'm pretty far into the book and I must say, it rocks. I recommended it to a friend who's really enjoying it too...
Well time to spark some life into the thread about the dead. I love Patricia Cornwell. I just have not been reading as much as I used to. I forgot she had a new book out. I will have to go find it.
