C'est Moi!

Bonjour, tout le monde! I'm just back from France. Yes, I've been spending a little time in Paris, soaking up some culture. That's where I got this little chapeau. Tres chic, n'est pas? Je suis une jolie fille.

Quelle heure est-il? Le crayon rouge is sur la table!

Ah, Paris. I would wake up in the morning, and walk down the Champs-Elysees. Everyone would put down their cigarettes to wave to me, and call out, "Bonjour Errer Chat!"

Then I'd stop in at my favorite café, where my favorite garcon, Jean-Claude, would give me a bowl of lait, and a plate of fresh poisson. Oo la la!

Sometimes he'd even give me some fromage!

Ah, fromage! Le yum!

Then I'd trot off to the Jardin des Tuileries, where I'd spend the day lying in the soleil and chasing les oiseaux. Oh, that's "birds" for those of you who don't parle francais.

But now I'm back home. Back to quaint, simple, down-to-earth A2K. I just hope I'm not too cultured and sophisticated for this place now.

Oo la la!!

More? Well, let's see. Sometimes I'd sit up in the Tour Eiffel, and just look out over Paree!

That's not an easy thing to translate.

A stray cat is, here, un "chat errant" or "chat vagabond". But it's too formal and not really used in everyday language.

I do prefer, because it has a friendly connotation, un chat de gouttière.

When you do get to Paris, Stray Cat, just watch out for that lady killer Pepe le Peu. From what I hear, a sweet little innocent like yourself would be a pushover for a guy like that.
