Luciano died yesterday aged 71, I had a ten quid bet on him living till he was at least 75 so I've just lost a tenor Sad

Many years ago I worked for a catering service at the old "Hines Civic
Auditorium" and when the Boston Opera House was closed for renovations they had the "Met" season at the auditorium and I had the privilege of seeing Pavoratti perform, then I stood in line for over 2 hours to get his autograph.

I will miss him.
