BBB: Thank goodness he's okay! Those phone calls are NASTY. I'm so glad you had such great friends to go with you. Keep us posted on his progress.

Buttrflynet: Again, thank goodness. I'm so glad your brother is doing so well.

What a world, eh?

Hey! I didn't know you were BBB's daughter. Good for both of you!

It must be a huge relief to you now that your son is on the mend. Phew!

And as for The Lady Diane ... you are very lucky indeed (I agree!) to have such a good friend nearby. They don't grow on trees, friends like that! Very Happy

We dont call em brain buckets for nothing. I saw a big bulldozer roll and slide down a 50' high bench of a quarry once. The dozer was just driving the mine road to get the equipment moved down one level when it just gave way. The guy walked away but the dozer was in 3 pieces .

Butrflynet, thanks for filling us in on more details. I do hope the specialist does a thorough check to make sure Stu doesn't have hidden problems.

The headache is worrisome although he would be bound to have a headache from the experience, but he does need to be checked for nerve damage--that doesn't show up on CT's or MRI's does it?

As for good friends, it goes both ways. We know BBB would do anything for us if we were in an emergency situation.

Do any of you know if Stu and Linda will be able to go on their 20th anniversary trip? Sure hope so.

It will depend on how fast he heals and the severity of the pain. You were right when you said Linda would probably take Stuart on a stretcher to Arizona for their 20th anniversary when they plan to renew their wedding vows. A romantic pair they are.

My son has an emergency appointment today with the very busy physiologist that specializes in neck and spine injuries, who rearranged his/her schedule to fit him in due to the severity of his injuries.

update
My son's physician said she doesn't think he suffered any nerve damage, just sprains, bruises, concussion etc. She said he is one lucky dude.

She ordered physical therapy for him for at least six weeks to help relieve the pain and restore his muscle tone.

Big sigh of relief from Mom.
