Someone asks if you like their wretched new hairdo. You say:

I'm very bad at pretending to like something I don't like. Even if I manage to say something inoffensive (there's a fifty-fifty chance), people can usually tell what I'm thinking from the expression on my face. And if I'm lying on the floor laughing and pointing at your head, well, that's pretty much a dead giveaway that I don't like your new hairdo.

I think it would be nice to be inscrutable. I am eminently scrutable.

My answer would have to be:

"I'm sorry, but being (a) male, and (b) a skinhead, I am not qualified to comment on..."

It gets me off the hook everytime...

I recently changed my hairstyle, but all I have got are compliements (apparently it makes me look "boyish") but then again, no one dare critisize my hairstyle to my face - I'd probably kill them !!!
