This Stevie Wonder kid might just make it.

The kid's multi-talented! I tell ya, he's gonna be a STAR! He sings, he writes, he plays keyboards and harmonica...he even plays the drums!

I sure hope he doesn't become a respected musical genius and then halfway through his career turn into some sappy insipid balladeer, singing crappy songs about calling people just to say he loves them and writing horrible songs using the ebony and ivory colors of the keyboard as a metaphor for racial harmony to perform as a duet with aging white pop stars.

So what's your favorite Stevie Wonder song?

Mine is probably not very well-known by most people. It's off the Songs in The Key of Life record.

Love's in Need of Love Today. The last minute and a half of that song is musical perfection. Every time I hear him sing that "L-O-V-E Loooo-oooo-ooove" thing, I can't help but involuntarily ejaculate all over myself. It used to be a real problem, but several years ago I vowed never to listen to that part in public, or clothed. It works for me.

Anyway...

Would you like to play a round says tiger

Sure stevie replied but I dont play for less than 10,000 a hole.

My favorite Stevie Wonder song has always been and will always be "Hey Love", one of his first hits back in the mid-60's.

Mine too!

I was wondering if someone would beat me to it.

Don't be ashamed. You're not alone. About a gazillion others liked it enough for it to go multi-platinum.

I don't think it's sappy at all. I really like that song.

Just read about George Shearing, and love everything he plays. His favorite evening is spent with friends and afterwards playing a serious game of bridge. Wonder how he does that?

That is so cool eoe!

Innervisions and Talking Book are such great albums. I used to listen to them all the time when I was a kid.

I love that slow funky nasty jam, "Maybe your baby done made some other plans..."

Thanks Kicky. It was a very cool, spur of the moment experience.
But I tell you what stinks. That cut, "Maybe Your Baby" is NOT on his big "Century" compilation. I couldn't believe it. Why did they have so many of his weaker songs and not every single cut from those first breakthrough albums, which earned him genius status in the first place? Go figure. Rolling Eyes

Wow! That really is cool, eoe! Getting a chance to watch a legendary musician rehearse doesn't happen every day. How lucky you happened to be there at just the right moment! Razz

We'd been on 'Stevie-alert' off and on the whole year so when this happened, we all felt pretty vindicated, like it hadn't been in vain. Laughing
