My daughter wants to know the lyrics to this song from The Sound of Music, you know the one that goes
...."brown paper packages tied up with string.....these are a few of my favorite things"
etc etc
can't find it on my usual lyrics site. Can you help?
Many thanks

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad
BIG thank you region philbis.
We just sang it very loud.

you're welcome.
reading these lyrics aloud makes me feel oh so macho...
lets see...from memory
Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
brown geese that fly with the moon on their wing
these are a few of my favorite things
red colored posies and blue satin sashes
snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
silver white winters that melt into spring
these are a few of my favorite things
chorus;
when the dog bites
when the bee stings
when I feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
and then I don't feeeeeeeel
so bad
theres another couple of verses...I can feel them down in there. They might be in the wrong order.
hmmm
something before
brown paper packages tied up with string
these are a few of my favorite things
cross check under artist Julie Andrews
so poo on me I got it wrong and in the meantime old philbis answered correctly.
It was fun singing tho
plantress, I especially like the way you said
"Feeeeeeeeeel"
One of my favorite movies would happen to be the Sound of Music. My sister and I would watch and sing along with every song.... my favorite was this one!
