Newseum.com has a cool feature (new to me).

Just roll your cursor over the cities on the map and you can see their newspaper's frontpage headlines.

That is cool. First Google Earth and now Newseum. They both include Canada too!

Really nice site . . . what is Newseum? Do you have a link to their home page, or is that it?

A little research reveals that the Newseum grew out of The Freedom Foundation, which is the brainchild of Allen H. Neuharth, an interesting man in journalism, and founder of USA Today.

Here is the Horatio Alger Association's brief biography of Mr. Neuharth.

I've posted that link on Thu 22 May, 2003 for the first time here on A2K

Although a commercial site, PressDisplay isn't that bad, too.
(You can register free and at least can see several pages of several national and international newspapers [and read the frontpage] - 225 newspapers from 55 countries at the moment. The 'Economy subscription' has a quite reasonable price - well, that's what I think, and why I subscribed Laughing )

I enjoyed Alan N's editorials for many years in the USA Today.
