If people don't believe in a God then how did the world come to be?

Seriously, think about this. No one knows the answer to this with any certainty. So why not make up an imaginary friend and call him the creator of it all?

I don't know how the world came to be. But I'm not going to allow that lack of information to cause me to jump to conclusions based on the inconsistent contents of a widely accepted text.

May I ask a question then why would God tells us about his in the bible and tells that the world was made in 7 days?

Why would you assume that "god" tells us anything in the "bible," when the only evidence we have is that it was written by men--and men whose self-interest was involved?
