@saab,
It's originally Swiss, with more than 500 franchise shops in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
(Their premium shops are called "Liebeshaar".)

@Walter Hinteler,
Liebeshaar certainly is better than hairkiller.

In the UK they get their own album covers.

@ehBeth,
You got the right part, but actually they are a franchise that does Brazilian Waxes.

It's right next door to the place called Verts, that sells "Berlin inspired kabobs". Every time I go to Verts, I have to look away when I'm walking by the Pretty Kitty, or I'll shudder.

Nope, not for me thanks.

why would a place that sells meat be called Greens (or are they selling veggie kebabs?) another humorous twist on language?

My brother in law was over from Denver, Colorado, and I asked him why Americans call kebabs "kebobs", but he didn't know. I thinks Verts sell kebaps: "Born in Bursa. Perfected in Berlin. Jalepeno'ed in Austin. VertsKebap serves healthy kebaps, wraps & salads using fresh ingredients and local meats."

Vert/verte is French for green, sure, but the founders of the Texas döner kebab chain are two German guys, and apparently the name is a reference to the vertical spit used to roast the meat (they are called "verts" in the fast food business). And, yes they do veggie ones.

@Tes yeux noirs,
They (Michael Heyne and Dominik Stein) are from Beilheim (in southern Germany).
http://i59.tinypic.com/jf88sp.jpg
After having finished university, they learnt how to make Döner at their local Döner restaurant, got some additional studies in Berlin and Hamburg (mainly by eating up to 40 Döners a day), learnt, how to bake döner bread in Stuttgart .... and opened their first restaurant in Austin in 2011 (they had studied there as well). All the material for the restaurant have been imported from Germany besides the refrigerators, they are from Austria.

The invested money comes completely from their families and friends in Germany.

we also spell Channukah in several different ways. Their is no "right way".
Pity the isolated civilization that only has one way to spell a word.

Its like "maths". I cringe at the sound of that one
