@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Depends - I did once go to a nude beach not knowing it was a nude beach - and there were actually signs there saying no nude sunbathing - although it ended up being about 98% nudies.

We were actually going there to see these natural clay baths and bath in them - we stayed and bathed in the clay sat in the sun to dry off and then washed the clay in the ocean. We stayed in bathing suits - it was me, my boyfriend at the time and another couple.

If I was with my children - don't know.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Actually, I really liked to go there: less people, clean sand, easy to find a free space ... (I didn't go there accidentally but before someone told me about these advantages.)

Swimming nude in the coldish North Sea has an advantage, too: all men .... umm, ... are bit shorter, equalled.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
It depends on the temperature of the water.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
What if I didn't want to swim?

Couldn't I just sit on the beach?

Or maybe wade a bit?

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Probably should get used to it; after two years of an Obama economy you're not gonna be able to afford bathing suits....

We're already in a Republican-generated recession, thank you. Now go play with your dolls.

you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him wear a swimming suit.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
No such thing as a nude beach. Clothing optional, but unless it's a private club, nobody can force you to remove your clothes.

U know, that is a good analogy to socialism:
all men made equal thru reduction, contraction, curtailment & limitation.

but I digresss . . . (sorry BBB)

I wouldn't go nude because I'm too shy but i'd sure stick around for awhile and look. I'd imagine being kind of fascinated and admiring of the lack of self-consciousness.

Yeah, I went to Haulover Beach in Miami last summer.

I thought I would chicken out, but once there, I dropped the trunks and headed
for the water. I spent a lot of time in the water, more for protection than
modesty.

@George,
if you had your piercing in, the resemblance to bait might be too much for a sea turtle or small mouth bass to resist...

@OmSigDAVID,
George is young enough that he's probably in more danger from cougars than sharks, especially in Florida.
