It's not the heat

it's the humility or so they say. Depends on what you're used to really. Temps here have been running 95-99 and a short while ago the humidity was 17%, I feel like I'm under water. Yes, I know many if not most of you guys and gals live with 50 to 99% but here in the desert it's usually more like 8 or 10 %. It's all relative I guess.

After more than a month of rain, we got sunshine today. I had to go sit in the air condition to recover a few times, it got that hot.

WEll, it's only 70 F here but the humidity is 61 % - also very unusual for
southern Cal.

um, happycat posted while I was composing....

Yes, Maryland. I was thinking today didn't seem so bad. You're right, Happycat, it's the lack of humidity...

In my old north coast home town, today it was 64 degrees, humidity 57%, cloud cover 89%.

Well, really, that temp is a little high for there in the summer... I seem to remember a whole lot of 63's.

If I can go out to water the garden, that dog can go out to pee!

After all, it's not that humid.

That's on the Wunderground weather website.. I posted that mostly for Dys, as we talk about clear skies and such. Back in north north, when the sky was clear, it was, or seemed, crystal clear, few particulates. But, being fogville, and drizzlecity, and the home of partly cloudy, we often had other sorts of skies.

Now I live in the land of sandskies...

Humidity's only been in the 60% range here lately.

Which is still pretty damned unpleasant when it's 93 or 94 F, like yesterday, but still it could be a lot worse.

I miss my dry heat.

I remember in our new york apartment when I was a kid, that it was 100 degrees with 100% humidity. Oh, yeah, then it rained...

Being able to open and cleanse your facial pores just by crossing the parking lot saves money at the beauty parlor.

Would you mind sending some of that heat this way? We've had damp, cool, cloudy days for most of the spring and summer and I sure could use a little sun and heat.

I want summer, damn it! Crying or Very sad
