Nobody at this site works harder than George. He answers at least one Latin translation question a day, and often several. There is an ongoing thread here where he jumps around like a chess master playing several games simultaneously.
So what i want to know, is what brings them to this site for their Latin translations? Has George become notorious? Is the word out in cyberspace that George is The Man when it comes to Latin? Do people at Myspace or Facebook spread the good word that you need George to translate the text for your next tatoo?
Why here?
i think they're finding us through google, unaware of George's expertise...
Oh sure . . . give me a serious answer . . . sheesh !
(You know, i'm not that dense--but just what search criterion would bring up this site when looking for a Latin translation?)
after all these years i still can not tell your serious posts from your jokey ones...
Acutally, I'm having some trouble making A2K show up on Google for this purpose, though searching for latin translation forum turns up the link below at the end of the second page of results...

Heh, my first try. Google "translate this into Latin."
Yeah, and that thread -- the first result -- has 150,000 views...

Don't feel bad, half the time, neither can i.
I think there was a Where is George thread once, and it turned out to be looking for a latin translation.
I heard there is a new religion developing amongst first year latin students and they're calling themselves Georgorums.
