Our planet, Earth, is home to both:
The Galápagos tortoise (or Galápagos giant tortoise), is the largest living tortoise, endemic to nine islands of the Galápagos archipelago. Adults of large species can weigh over 300 kilograms (660 lb) and measure 1.2 meters (3.9 ft) long. Although the maximum life expectancy of a wild tortoise is unknown, the average life expectancy is estimated to be 200 years.
The Galápagos tortoises have very large shells (carapace) made of bone which is an integral part of the skeleton. The bony plates of the shell are fused with the ribs and other bones to form a rigid protective structure. When a tortoise feels threatened it can withdraw its head, neck and forelimbs into its shell for protection, presenting a thick shield to a would-be predator. The legs have hard scales that provide an effective armour when withdrawn.

Paris Whitney Hilton (born February 17, 1981) is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton.
Hilton rose to fame when a home-made sex video of her was leaked onto the Internet in late 2003. The release of the tape, later titled 1 Night in Paris (2004), attracted worldwide publicity and contributed to the success of Hilton's FOX reality series The Simple Life. As an actress, she has appeared in several minor roles, most notably in the horror film House of Wax (2005), and in 2006, she released the self-titled album Paris which peaked at number six on the Billboard 200. In addition to her work as an actress and singer, she has achieved some recognition as a model, celebrity spokesperson, and writer.

Paris Hilton is a human. This species might be classified into two groups: those who are repulsed by the Galapagos tortoise, and those who are repulsed by Paris Hilton.
Were Paris Hilton to encounter a Galapagos tortoise, it is unlikely she would marvel at its history or its slow, sluggish grace. She would be repulsed by its color and texture and, indirectly, by her own ignorance.
Ignorance may be blamed for the fact that the Galapagos tortoise will become extinct in the near future, while the first group of humans abovementioned will reproduce and flourish.
It should be noted there is little anyone can do about the fate of either the Galapagos tortoise or Paris Hilton.
