He's been at it for 27 years! What a job to have!

I enjoy doing the same thing as this guy, except I stab my victims.

I've seen him in action a few times. He's actually quite funny to watch, the first two or three times.

He's been ticketed and taken to court several times, but there was one particularly bizarre case not too long ago where he was accused of startling tourists in an overly aggressive way--i.e. not simply crouching behind foliage as shown in Slappy's picture (that doesn't really count as "hiding," since he's still out in the open for everyone to see), but actually concealing himself behind trash cans and cars, and really coming out of nowhere and scaring the sh*t out of unsuspecting pedestrians. People complained that this was genuinely dangerous... all it takes is one tourist with bad heart conditions to turn the joke into a disaster. Bushman was taken to court for this, where he offered a seemingly ludicrous defense: he said there was an evil Bushman out there, impersonating him and putting a more malicious spin on his own "harmless" practice.

Sounds absurd, but it turns out he was right. The "Evil Bushman" was picked up not long afterward.

I loved the bushman.

There was also another interesting street performer. While I was there I was hanging out with an international crowd and somehow he heard us speak spanish and italian so he said something in each language then he tried to guess where the others were from. He knew spanish, italian, french, german and arabic, we didn't know more languages to see if he knew more. Or maybe he just knew a couple phrases of each.

He didn't seem to be getting much of a reaction from anyone.

The kids love him. You laugh because you can't believe you just saw a guy jumpioing out from behind a bunch of branchs that he brought himself. There is no other vegetation anywhere in the area.
