The first year I was active on A2K, I was greeted one morning with every avatar featuring the same frenzied dancing Hamster. After rebooting my computer four or five times trying to shake loose the glitch that wouldn't allow the proper avatars to load and after running a full virus scan--I thankfully resisted the impulse to ininstall and reinstall Windows--somebody mentioned what day it was.

Since then I've looked forward to the creative genius associated with this particular rite of spring. So far the genius hasn't disappointed me.

(P.S. While not quite ready to admit being an attention whore, I found a properly placed whine nets you a new name. )

I wish I'd kept a record of all the names... what was yours, foxfyre?
