Why footy's 'boy' from Oz was refused a beer

HE'S 43 years of age, but because of his baby-faced looks, Cameron Schwab is often mistaken for being much younger. It's an issue that is of little concern to the Fremantle Football Club chief executive, although occasionally it tends to work against him. Like at the weekend in the US, where Schwab is about to begin an eight-week business-management course at Harvard University and was lucky enough to score a ticket to a Boston Celtics basketball match.
The highlight, though, was not so much the basketball, but what happened at half-time when he set out to buy a beer and a female bartender, suspecting he was under-age, refused to serve him unless he could provide identification as required by American law.
Gobsmacked that someone would think he was under 21, the national drinking age, Schwab pulled out his wallet but the only ID he had was an Australian driver's licence, to which the bartender asked:
"Australia? Which state is that in?"
