The bald eagle is primarily a scavenger rather than a predator, and subsists mainly on fish. It is most commonly found along coasts where cast-ups provide most of its food. It occasionally makes its own kills, and, when fish are not available, it may take a few birds.

"Small birds and rodents may also form part of its diet. Unfortunately, in the United States and southern Ontario, the number of bald eagles has dropped alarmingly in recent decades, apparently as a result of the effects of DDT, other toxic chemicals and persecution by people."

Depleted uranium is not apparently a problem for the bald eagle. Just people.

This thread is in memory of Timber. The fact nobody seems to have figured that out isn't surprising.

I found his "RIP" thread to be sickening - everyone coming in to pay respects by telling everyone how they despised Timber's politics.

What a bunch of creeps. My vote is that A2K is disbanded. Timber was the last hope for the place.

I am sure most people figured out exactly what this thread was about, cjhsa.

I certainly did.

I hope you are attempting to get some support in dealing with whatever is troubling you, other than posting here, which seems to take the form of your inviting people to make you even angrier.

(I mean this generally, not just here on this thread)

What's troubling me is what should be troubling the world - rampant , braindead socialism, and the trolls that inhabit that realm of ideology.

1) This thread is a wonderful gesture.

2) I think you have totally misunderstood the sentiments expressed in the Timber "RIP" thread.

It seemed to me that everyone was co-existing peacefully on that thread, and unanimously paying tribute. What are you so angry about?

I agree, nimh.

cjhsa, I think the sentiments expressed are precisely what floated Timber's boat. The overriding sentiment is that no matter the politics or position, whether he was supportive of your position or was drilling you a new one, he was a class act and was held in the highest regard.

Ben Franklin wanted the Turkey as out national bird. That may have been a better choice actually.

cj all you ever post is inflammatory horseshit about how people who don't like guns are pussies.

How would you expect anyone to attribute a post of yours as a sincere tribute of any kind unless it was about killing something or a racist post.

If your feelings about A2K are so negative then you should probably go away, because no one else is.

It is you who have turned the subject of a beloved members' death into some sort of pissing contest.

Congratulations.

Not at all. I'm quite sure I didn't misread that other thread. About 90% of those who showed up paid their respects by telling everyone they disagreed with Timber.

Uncalled for.

DAMN you're clueless. So, it's "uncalled for" to say "He and I had differences, but he was kind and I'll miss him." ??

Just CLUELESS.

Do you want me to lock this topic? Really, is that what's wanted here? Because I'm more than happy (and ready) to oblige.

Elizabeth Kubler-Ross identified a grief cycle --

-- and it looks like the anger stage has been hit, or maybe testing.

This is not the time nor the place to argue. Want to argue? Find some other topic, some other reason to get angry. But judging the way people grieve is, well, it's absurd on every level imaginable. So get back to me if you want this topic locked because that's the only other way I'm going to respond to all these negative requests for attention.

Leave Mrs Timber out of this, cjhsa.

(This is getting unpleasant. Why not just leave it, before you say something you'll really regret later?)
