Today was such a nice day, so I walked to work. I passed this bar that had a sign outside saying, "Happy Hour 10:00 - 7:00 everyday" and I thought, hmmm...drinking at 10:00 AM on a tuesday...interesting idea...
Ooh, I had this almost overpowering urge to call in sick and just get myself bombed. I don't know why. I haven't had a drink in the morning since I used to work the graveyard shift and we'd go to the bar sometimes on friday mornings after finishing our week. I think that in a couple weeks, when I'm on vacation, I'm going to do that one day. What do you think? Is it a good idea?
As a rule, vacation doesn't start until you've had a Bloody Mary with your breakfast.
oh, make sure you smoke a joint before going to the bar. That'll ensure you eat a lunch.

Of course its a good idea, my only question is why are you starting so late?
Until 25 years ago, when I was still drinking, I knew all the bars opening at 8 am (only two opened earlier but they were not in walking distance).

I probably drank a lot early when I used to go deep sea fishing. We would leave so early just to get to the boats - the boats left from around 5am. As soon as the boats were moving the bar was open. We would start around 8 or 9 getting beers - heck it felt like noon we were so early!

So I guess it would have been a good idea to go to the bar then. Dammit, this stupid work **** is cutting into my transition from working class fool to non-working alcoholic loser!
Two weeks from today though, I am getting drunk in a bar in Florida somewhere. I vow it!

Another excellent idea. Should I shoot some heroin too? I heard that a good shot of heroin after a couple beers feels like experiencing both Nirvana and Armageddon at the same time. Very exciting. So I've heard.
Drinking Tuesday morning - even better if you been up all the previous night.

Hi kicky, Go for it~! You need to take control of your life once-in-awhile to do what pleases you. Just make sure that the one day drinking doesn't turn into one week.
No problem. Okay, so you heard it, folks. C.I. says it's okay to get drunk one day a week at 10:00 in the morning. I guess that for the rest of the week, I'll forego the booze and just smoke pot and do heroin all day. Thanks for the green light, buddy!
