This is National Get Over It Day. Are you celebrating?
The founder, Jeff Goldblatt, has a Virtual Bonfire (www.GetOverItDay.com) where you can fling your winter garment of repentance and your guilt feelings and your plans for body revenge.
Burn, baby. Burn.
What will you burn?
Easier said than done, Noddy. Believe me, I've tried.
Swimpy--
I'm not saintlike, but I'm smart. Before I paw over my hoarded grudges I either have to scrub something or do some exercises.
When all else fails, shampoo.
Thanx for the heads-up, Noddy. Trouble is I have so few grudges I really hate to part with the few and far between that I do have. Can't afford to get any new ones.
Haha. First thing after scanning that page, before even a good old burning paper of someone else's could be read, I noticed the faces featured on video.
Avril L. "Get over it"
My blood is boiling now. I had the quick thought that I should get over my pepper-spray hatred of people who I do not even know personally.
But.....
It makes me lose hope in humanity. I truly wish I was being dramatic with purpose. But I'm not.
How can I live in a world that supports Avril? Tell me. Tell me this. And actually is PROUD to call her a national figure......?!?!
Sigh.
It's not easy giving up the grudge that goes along with believing humanity is ****. Not quite ready........
flushd--
Hang on to the grudges that help you survive and ditch the rest.
Grudges are easy to shed, guilt fits like a glove.
I only hold one grudge. It will not go away. Guilt is a slippery fellow. I know better than to feel it, but sometimes remorse for things far in the past still comes calling.
I will burn the first few pages of my diary of abuse.
Then i will burn the left over chocolate.
I'm lucky, I guess.
There's only two people I'd like to see in the headstocks for the weekend.
Its get over it day is every day in OZ.
Thats just the way our culture works. (Although less and less these days)
Build a bridge.
Stuff dies. Sometimes it gets killed for you. I hunt and kill stuff and eat it. I grow stuff, kill it and eat it. Get over it.
