Ive had long hair most of my life.
At the weekend I got it cut(like Victoria Beckhams, long at front very short at back).
It took me ages to get my head sorted in order to be ok with getting it cut off, I was panicing about how it would look, would my neck be freezing etc
My mum is ecstatic as she has wanted me to cut my hair for years, despite me having it cut I still sem to be getting insults from her, but now its about how 'horrid my hair USED to be'.
Unbelievable, she still manages(unintensionally Id like to think) to make me feel like crap.
But thats not my point.
My point is, I like my short hair and if your ever unsure about getting it cut, just do it!!
Do long hair, to short haired people agree?
Well, I agree that at first I always like it. And then I hate it and end up growing it back out.
But that's just me.
Why do you think you hate it?
Maybe il go for Winona's elfin cut next.
I just like long hair I guess. It can be done up, let down, wound up, pinned up, curled, straightened....short hair can be done 1 or 2 ways usually, depending on how short. But it is usually in a specific style that doesn't allow much versalitility.
I am considering cutting my hair right now actually....
I just grow it out and cut it over and over again...maybe it's a disease.....
Hehe, nah, its variety and I admire that.Ive played it safe for so long it got depressing.
Cut it, cut it.
In college I cut my hair very short. It felt liberating and fun, but I didn't like the cut, exactly. I did immediately start growing it out - took years! I haven't cut it much shorter than shoulder length otherwise.
In January I got a much shorter style - probably three extra inches taken off. I've enjoyed it right from the beginning and, although I have an appointment next week, I still like it and I'm thinking about an even shorter cut. :-)
You live on the edge, Piffka. Anyone ever tell you that?
I have a very small head and very fine, unaggressive hair. For me long hair is much easier to take care of. I wash it, twist it up and let it dry.

I have very heavy, thick, unruly, wavy hair. For me, longer is easier too....I wash it, dry it almost all the way, twist it up and go.

Thanks, Noddy, I was due for a new sig line.
My hair grows like a weed. I got it cut short three weeks ago and it already needs to be cut again. But as a man with a full head of hair I won't complain.
Where is this full head of hair of which you speak, Nick?
Or is that your uncle in the avatar?

Just how small is your head, Noddy?
I've met Noddy, it's not obviously small. To me.
I saw Noddy once and while I considered her attractive I kept staring at this grape-sized globular object perched on her shoulders and when I came to the realization that it was her head I felt revulsion initially, then acceptance, and finally I saw her for what she was -- a woman with a head the size of a grape -- and I grew to love her the way a organ grinder loves his monkey.
Does that make sense?
I didn't think so either.
My head is the shape of an isosceles tetrahedron so I tend to keep my hair long.
