CNN is indicating some pretty serious storms moved across Florida last night. Possibly tornado's.

If you live in Florida, please check in and let us know you are okay.

Hey, squinney. Terrible thunderstorms, but that's all. I guess I need to watch the weather channel.

It had been raining cats and dogs here, with thunder, in February. The rain has stopped, and it is 70 degrees now at 9 AM.

Do any of us really care about the Floridians?

Actually, looking at the local radar, it appears that the front is crossing at an angle coming from south of Bradenton, and moving across in a slightly northeasterly fashion. If it keeps on that way, Letty and I am in the clear.

Oh, good. Thanks, Phoenix and Letty. I worry about you when I see bad weather.

Thunderstorms in February in many parts of the country means snow within ten days. Very Happy (Gus can back me on that one, I'm sure.)

They were talking about a lake area and I thought that would be O'Bill and Panzade. Any idea?

Good idea, Squinney.

Glad to hear it was just thunderstorms & Florida's now back to the good stuff... at least, 70 degrees at 9am sounds sweet to me.

Just watched some of this on CNN. At least 14 dead. Horrible.

The counties that were affected were Sumter, Lake and Volusia. I live in southwest Hillsborough:

Hours after a roaring storm rolled across Central Florida, spinning off tornadoes that killed at least 19 people, residents and public officials continued their search this afternoon through the rubble.

Gov. Charlie Crist has declared a State of Emergency for Lake, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia counties after severe thunderstorms and tornadoes slammed through the areas overnight in the communities north and east of Orlando.

Had a brief chat with Onyxella. Horrible thunder and lightning in the morning, but she and family survived.

Roger (shamelessly dropping names)
