Lordy, lordy...

What can I say?

Here it is: public acknowledgement of what a sweetie you are. A true friend (and you're not even a woman!). Thank you for helping me through my annus horribilis, and there's nowt wrong with my bum!

As us Scouser's say: Thanks chuck, you're a gem.

Sarah
x

I can recall a time
When I wasn't ashamed to reach out to a friend
And now I think I've got
A lot more than just my toys to lend
Now there's more to do
Than watch my sailboat glide
And every day can be
My magic carpet ride
And I can play hide and seek with my fears
And live my days instead of counting my years

Sarah, for once I am speechless.................

On second thoughts, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my Mum, for taking my Dad away for that naughty holiday in Southend, aproximately nine months and two weeks before I was born......my Dad, for passing on his fine, chiselled good looks and trouserial accoutrements, the milkman who helped deliver me, Miss Savage my French teacher who gave me extra lessons in oral when I needed them, the girls Convent school under 17's netball team....you know what for...., the Acme Spatula Company, Playboy, Playgirl, Nun's weekly, the Grimthorpe Naturist Club, my dog for waking me each morning in her own special way, Bess, my favourite Chamois, Dorothy Parker for being my one and only honorary A2K Grandaughter, Gus for getting me out of that Thai jail that time, Kicky for appointing me as A2K Overseas Director, the posse of women on this site who make it worthwhile getting up in the morning, all of the men here, who may be a bit on the ugly side but are usually very entertaining, Jess, who has an avatar that totally confused me as it looked like a weird turtle, Joe(I'll sulk if I don't get a mention) Nation, Letty for the damned fine work she does on the radio, Eva who lets me run up a massive tab in the wine bar, The porn spammers who get me all hot under the collar before I hit the report button, the 15 hidden members who always seem to be lurking when I log on....and anyone else who knows me.

I may answer in a more serious tone later, when I've stopped my stiff upper lip from quivering.

Anytime, GW(rare use of emoticon coming up......) Question bugger! Wrong one... hang on..... Arrow nope.....ah, this is it, I think  YES!!

Smorgs and I are pretty good mates, although we've never met and, for all I know, she could be a 220lb Scotsman who has a penchant for silly English people.

Although technically, I have far more Mancunian blood than her, there is no doubt that she has much more of the Manc common sense and "no frills" approach to life.

As far as her Annus Horribilis is concerned, alas, I cannot comment as she refuses to send me a photograph no matter how many times I plead.

As for her character though, I would say that she is a toughie who's had WAY more than her fair share of bad stuff happen, and I just do my best to cheer her up with a bit of stupidity now and then. She's also one of the kindest people I've ever encountered.

I'll tell you something now, if ever I won a luxury holiday, I'd have no hesitation in handing it over to her and her family, so they could go and burn their bottoms somewhere for a couple of weeks. Gladly.

I'm just bloody surprised that she started this thread, as she very rarely shows her colours in public.
She's a great mate to me, and I wish her some real good fortune in 2007.
